According to the forms released by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, Trump carried out more than 175 financial purchases from August 28 through October 2. The disclosures, made under a 1978 transparency law called the Ethics in Government Act, do not list exact amounts for each purchase, only providing a broad range.
The maximum total value of the bond purchases exceeded $337 million, according to the filings.
Trump's new bond investments span several industries, including sectors that have already benefited, or are benefiting, from his administration's policy changes such as financial deregulation.

The oil market is becoming increasingly unbalanced with global inventories continuing to climb and an even larger surplus expected this year, the International Energy Agency said in its closely watched monthly report.
The Paris-based organization, which represents major oil-consuming nations, raised its forecast for global demand, saying it is now expected to grow by 788,000 barrels a day this year and 770,000 barrels a day the next.
However, estimates for oil-supply growth were also raised to 3.1 million barrels a day and 2.5 million for the periods, respectively, from earlier projections of 3 million and 2.4 million barrels a day.

OpenAI says it is planning to spend $1.4 trillion in the next eight years. But it is pulling in only around $20 billion of annual revenue today, and it lacks a clear business model to reach the hundreds of billions it needs within the next few years to keep spending growth going.
OpenAI is already projecting that losses will swell to $74 billion in 2028. So skittish has the mood become that Chief Executive Sam Altman felt the need last week to defend the company on X, saying the spending was “understandably” causing concern.
He pointed to his plans to boost revenue with new consumer devices, robotics efforts and an AI cloud-computing service, none of which currently exist.

Within days of China urging its citizens not to travel to Japan due to a diplomatic dispute, Tokyo-based tour operator East Japan International Travel Service had lost 80% of its bookings for the remainder of the year.
Tourism accounts for around 7% of Japan's overall gross domestic product, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council, and has been a major driver of growth in recent years. Visitors from mainland China and Hong Kong account for around a fifth of all arrivals, official figures show.

This summer, Oslo’s public-transport authority drove a Chinese electric bus deep into a decommissioned mine inside a nearby mountain to answer a question: Could it be hacked?
Isolated by rock from digital interference, cybersecurity experts came back with a qualified yes: The bus could in theory be remotely disabled using the control system for the battery.
The revelation, presented at a recent public-transport conference, has spurred officials in Denmark and the U.K. to start their own investigations into Chinese vehicles. It has also fed into broader security concerns across Europe about the growing prevalence of Chinese-made equipment in the region’s energy and telecommunications infrastructure.
