The Trump administration has suspended visa approvals for nearly all Palestinian passport holders, the latest in a series of steps to bar Palestinians from entering the United States.
The directive stems from an Aug. 18 cable, reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, instructing consular officers to refuse “all otherwise eligible Palestinian Authority passport holders” using that passport to apply for a nonimmigrant visa “effective immediately.”
