このページの使い方
１、まずは原文を読んで、だいたいどのような内容かを推測する
２、単語、表現を参照しながら、もう一度読む
３、日本語訳で確認する
４、最後に原文を音読する
５、日本語訳を読むだけでも、１週間の出来事が分かる
日本語訳は可能な限り前から後ろに訳している。その癖をつけないと、早く読んだり、耳で聞いて理解するようにはならないからだ。話し言葉は前から順に消えていくので、聞き手は前から順に理解している。日本語は結論が後に来ると言われるが、文脈から聞き手は結末を予測しているのだ。
英語では結論が先に来るので、聞き手はその詳細を期待することになる。例えば、何かが最も上がったなどという表現の後には、期間や範囲を限定する表現が続く。その後に理由やその他の詳細が続くのだ。だから英語での討論では「いったい何がいいたいの？」などということはなく、聞き手が話し手を途中で遮って、「あなたの言いたいことは分かるが、、、」と自分の意見を述べることもできるのだ。

In March, three weeks after Russia’s invasion began, a Ukrainian minister called out DJI on Twitter for being complicit in the war.
DJI is just one of many tech companies that has found its products used on the battlefield.
The Russian military allegedly used its drones on the battlefield. It includes the Mavic 3 drone, and Aeroscope, a drone-detection platform that enables users to identify the location of a drone operator.

Nearly three out of five high-school girls in the U.S. who were surveyed reported feelings of persistent sadness or hopelessness in 2021, a roughly 60% increase over the past decade, new research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found.
Though both high-school girls and boys reported experiencing mental-health challenges, girls reported record high levels of violence, sadness and suicide risk, the CDC said.
In 2021, 57% of high-school girls reported experiencing persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness in the past year, compared with 36% in 2011. Thirty percent reported they seriously considered attempting suicide in 2021, up from 19% in 2011.

China, the world's top lithium refiner and a leading producer dominates the supply chain, but Western governments and international companies are trying to challenge that and see Africa's lithium reserves as an opportunity.

Antimicrobial resistance emerges when organisms like bacteria, fungi and viruses defeat the drugs used to treat them and it can make infections very difficult, or even impossible, to treat.
Farming often deploys the drugs--including many medically important ones like tetracyclines, amphenicols and penicillins--in healthy animals to keep livestock healthy and prevent disease, a strategy that helps promote resistance.
The researchers said China, Brazil, India, the U.S. and Australia are expected to retain their 2020 positions as the five countries using the most antimicrobials in 2030, having accounted for nearly 60% of global use at the start of the decade.

The group will carry out a “legal, financial, economic and political analysis” to assess this possibility, the Swedish government said in a statement Tuesday. Sweden currently holds the rotating presidency of the EU Council, which sets the bloc’s political priorities.
The statement added that part of this work would involve obtaining a “clearer picture” of where Russian state-owned assets are located and their value.
